You know how to find a leak. But a business can lose good work without leaving a puddle.
The phone rings while you are under a sink with both hands full.
A customer asks what it will cost, says “let me talk to the wife”, and never rings back.
Someone opens your website on their phone, has a look, and rings the next plumber on the list.
You are writing quotes at the kitchen table at half past eight, after the kids are down, because that is the only quiet hour you get.
Or the diary is full, the vans are out, and you still cannot work out where the profit went.
None of that shows up as a puddle on the floor. There is no drip, no stain on the ceiling, nothing to point at. The work just quietly goes somewhere else.
You do not have to fix everything. You have to find the right thing to fix first.
It starts with a conversation, not a form.
This is not a scan that emails you a score out of 100. Those look at your website and guess. They have never heard of your business, your suburbs, or the jobs you actually want more of.
Instead you have a conversation — the Bottleneck Interview. You talk to an AI assistant for a few minutes about the business, what you want to change, and the topic you picked. What you say shapes what gets looked at, and what comes back.
The interview does two things at once. It gathers what is needed to write something useful rather than generic. And it lets you hear, first-hand, what an AI assistant sounds like when it answers the phone — which is the other half of what I do.
Most owners find the bottleneck is not where they assumed it was. That is the part worth finding out.
Pick the one thing you most want sorted.
Six reports. Your first choice is free. Start with whatever is bothering you most — if you are not sure, start with the first one.
Flat out, but not getting ahead?
Your Business Bottleneck Report — $197 on its own, or free as your first choice.
When everything is urgent, you end up fixing whatever shouts loudest. This finds the one thing holding the rest back, using the Theory of Constraints.
You'll receive:
- —The most likely constraint — enquiries, bookings, capacity or getting paid
- —How to check it before you spend time or money on it
- —A 30-day plan built around what you said you want
Best for owners who are busy, stretched, and not sure where the next improvement comes from.
See What's In It"That's too expensive." Know what to say next.
Your Sales Conversation Audio Playbook — $197 on its own, or free as your first choice.
You explain the price. They go quiet. Then you are defending your rates, or quietly knocking $200 off to keep the job.
You'll receive:
- —An audio discussion built around your services and the objections you actually hear
- —Five tailored objection responses, in language you can say out loud
- —A prompt sheet for explaining value and asking for the job
For owners and service plumbers who want calmer price conversations.
See What's In ItPractise it before you are standing in their kitchen.
Your Guided Sales Rehearsal — $147 on its own, or free as your first choice.
Knowing a better answer is one thing. Having it arrive on its own, while the customer is looking at you, is another.
You'll receive:
- —A personalised guided recording, built on the situations you want to handle better
- —Rehearsal of your preferred answer to price questions and concerns
- —A written transcript and one round of corrections
A guided rehearsal done in deep relaxation. Listen at rest — never while driving or on the tools.
See What's In ItWould you ring your own business after seeing your website?
Your Website Enquiry Report — $297 on its own, or free as your first choice.
Picture a customer opening your site on their phone. Can they tell you cover their suburb? Do they know why to trust you? Is ringing the obvious next step?
You'll receive:
- —A review of your homepage and two key pages — clarity, trust, and the path to an enquiry
- —An audio walkthrough and the fixes worth doing first
- —One homepage concept you can hand to any web designer
Building the site and designing more pages are separate. The concept is yours to use.
See What's In ItBe found before they find someone else.
Your Google & AI Search Visibility Report — $297 on its own, or free as your first choice.
Your site should make plain what you do and where you do it. This looks at what may be limiting that, and where the effort is best spent.
You'll receive:
- —A review of selected pages, services and target suburbs
- —A comparison against competitors who are showing up
- —A prioritised roadmap — technical, content and AI-search
Positions and mentions in AI answers cannot be guaranteed. You get a plan and the reasoning behind it.
See What's In ItFind the gaps in your Google Maps presence.
Your Google Business Profile Report — $197 on its own, or free as your first choice.
When someone nearby needs a plumber, your Google profile is often the first thing they see. Does it give them enough to ring you?
You'll receive:
- —A review of one Business Profile — services, information, what the customer sees
- —A local competitor comparison for the searches you choose
- —An action list for the profile, your reviews and local visibility
Rankings vary by searcher and location. No top-three or first-page position is promised.
See What's In ItThis is not for every plumber.
If you are after someone to tell you that you are three clicks away from a full diary, this will disappoint you. A report cannot install a system, answer your phone, or ring the customer who went quiet. It can only tell you where to point your next effort, and why.
It is worth your time if all three are true:
- You can give an honest half hour to the interview and the reading afterwards.
- You are prepared to change something about how the business runs, not just how it advertises.
- You want the real answer more than you want a flattering one.
If that is not you this week, close the tab. I would rather you came back when it is.
Have a conversation. Get something you can use.
1. Choose your report.
Pick the thing you most want to improve. One choice, free.
2. Speak with the AI assistant.
Questions about your business, your goals, and the topic you picked. For the website and Google reviews, you share the link as well. You will see how long it takes and when it will be delivered before you start, and the introduction explains how your answers are recorded and used.
3. Get your findings.
Your report or audio, plus a short action sheet. Written for you, not assembled from a template.

Who you're actually dealing with

Two blokes I've done this for. Neither is a plumber — they're cleaners on the Gold Coast — but both were paying for leads before we started, and neither is now.
I sold perfume door to door for five years. I thought I was good at it. I wasn't — what sold the perfume was the fragrance. I turned up and held the bottle.
Your website is supposed to be the fragrance. You're already doing the turning up: the van, the ads, the hours, the callouts at 2am. What's written on that site is the bit that has to do the persuading when you're not in the room.
Two businesses I helped build and sold went on to list on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. I moved to Australia in 2000 and have been building websites and generating leads for local trade businesses for the last ten years.
We used to spend up to $1,200 per week on Google AdWord campaigns for a steady workflow. In a matter of three months Hilton managed to get us ranked in the top position of the Google Map pack for multiple primary keywords, and implemented software that increased our reviews from 18 to over 100. No more AdWords or looking for customers.
I'd been paying for leads from Jim's, HiPages, OneFlare and word of mouth. Hilton promoted my page so that it appears in the Google 3 pack across a wide area for different keywords. This has totally transformed my business — I no longer pay for leads and have withdrawn from both HiPages and OneFlare.
Straight up: neither of those is a plumber — they're cleaners on the Gold Coast. Same game though, and both of them were paying good money for leads before we started.
Why the first one is free, and what's in it for me.
Because you should get to judge the work before you pay for any of it.
I'm Hilton Holder. I build websites for trade businesses, and I set up AI assistants that answer the phone when the owner cannot. That is the business. This is how you find out whether I am any good at it, at no risk to you.
If the findings point at something I can help with, we can talk about it. If they point somewhere else, take the report to whoever you already use, or do it yourself. It is yours either way.
There is no bundle you have to buy and no subscription to sign.
Your free one is yours either way. This is only if you want more.
Your free report is yours whether you buy anything else or not. If you do want a broader look, these group the related ones together.

What would you most like off your mind?
The calls you miss while you are on the tools.
The price conversation that always ends in a discount.
The website you have never been sure about.
Or the feeling that you are working harder and not getting any further.
Whichever one you just nodded at — that is your starting point. You do not need to arrive with the diagnosis. That is the job of the report.
The plumbers who will still be busy in two years are not the ones with the best trucks. They are the ones who found out what was actually costing them work, and fixed that first, while everyone else was buying more leads to pour into the same leaky bucket.
